Role: Senior Network EngineerLocation: Dublin
Rate: €350-€400
Type: 6 Month Contract
The role of the Senior Network Engineer is to provide support to a Sales, Operational teams and prospective customer base in telecommunications and enterprise environments across their network portfolio.
Day to day operations:
-Liaise directly with Customers, vendors and suppliers in a courteous professional manner.
- Responsible for the creation, update and delivery of technical and project documentation.
- Deliver customer training as required.
- Ensure accurate capture of work carried out and that project team are informed, updated and communicated correctly with detailed information.
- Networking with colleagues to maintain awareness of internal environment.
- Competent use of all relevant IT Tools and associated test equipment required in line with duties.
- Remotely accessing customer networks for investigation of incidents.
- Network configuration, planning and optimisation as required.
Essential Skills:
- Cisco Experiance (CCNP or CCIE)
- Network design
- Advanced technical skills
- Previous Network Support Experience
- Previous telecoms experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of a variety of technologies - IP, MPLS, Wi-Fi
- NMS Platform
Advantageous:
- Juniper qualifications
- Experience with broad selection of networking technology such as SDH, CWDM, DWDM, GPON, FTTx
