Description
Mechanical EngineerResponsibilities:
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge in Medical Device and Mechanical Engineering and its application in solving complex problems relating to class II and III Medical device implants.
- Works independently to create complex designs.
- Evaluates and applies design tradeoffs and constraints for design optimization.
- Is skilled in the use of advanced analysis tools and methods, specifically Solidworks and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Independently tests, analyzes and solves comprehensive technical problems.
- Applies in-depth skills and broad knowledge of the business to address complex problems and non-standard situations.
- Advanced proficiency in Solidworks to design/modify components and assemblies.
- Ability to execute component and assembly changes with vendors (e.g. spec changes, mold changes, sourcing new components) and demonstrate that the changes were made properly (e.g. First article inspections, verification testing).
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Medical Device Engineering is preferred).
- 5 + years related work experience required, specifically developing medical device implants.
- Excellent skills in GD and T
- Advanced proficiency in Solidworks: including part and assembly modeling, surfacing, lofts and finite element analysis
