Description
ResponsibilitiesSupport preparation of expert witness testimony on topics covering a multitude of regulatory issues, including annual reconciliations, rate case preparation, and transmission filings
Assist in coordinating the preparation of all cost of service filings, including base rate cases (performance-based ratemaking) and the development of a level of revenue requirement that supports a reasonable rate of return to investors
Help manage activities, deliverables, documentation, and/or communications related to regulatory proceedings
Conduct independent ad hoc analysis as needed under minimal supervision, as directed by the Director and Manager of Revenue Requirements
SKILLS:
Minimal requirements include:
Bachelor's degree
Five years of related work experience
Strong analytical ability, excellent written and oral communication skills
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to develop & analyze Excel spreadsheets
Basic financial modelling skills
Ability and willingness to work independently under minimal supervision given sufficient direction, prioritize among multiple assignments, and commit to and meet tight work deadlines.
Preferred experiences and skills include:
A Bachelor's or Advanced degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
Ability to apply a broad knowledge of accounting and financial theory to a utility ratemaking environment
