Description
Manufacturing EngineerRequirements and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate new product manufacturability and launch into production.
- Optimize processes for manufacture and product flow.
- Validate equipment and processes as required.
- Develop capacity planning and facilities layout for equipment moves and additions.
- Coordinate operator training for new and existing processes, products, and equipment.
- Coordinate and utilize external resources such as vendors and sister sites to resolve technical issues or improve processes or products.
- Assess process capabilities, prioritize process improvement opportunities, and innovate and implement process improvements on multiple and moderately complex processes.
- Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, tooling and/or automation related to existing production lines and technologies.
- Collaborate with Production Technology Engineers on production technology improvement projects.
- Conduct time studies to verify or establish process specifications.
- Support operations and new product development teams.
- Write and execute process and equipment validations (IQ, OQ, PQ).
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in science or engineering discipline.
- Must have 5+ years related experience.
- Must have applied experience of LEAN and Six Sigma tools and methods.
- Must have technical writing experience: may include protocols, reports, and validations.
- Experience with FMEA's and Design of Experiments are necessary.
- Must have time management skills allowing for working on multiple projects at once.
- Equipment design and build is a plus.
- CAD experience (Solidworks) is a plus.
