- The Senior Statistical Analyst supervises and directs statistical programs and carries out complex data analysis plans independently.
- Provides general and advanced statistical support to clinicians and investigators.
- Responsible for assisting in the development of analysis plans, optimizing the application of statistical and analytical techniques to aid in the translation of data into information, and the statistical and analytical programming necessary to execute against the analytical plans and research questions.
- This position also supervises/mentors lower level analysts.
Required qualifications and experience
Employer will accept a Master's degree in Statistics, Industrial Management or closely related field plus 2 years in job offered or Statistician- related occupation. Education or Experience must include:
1) Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate quantitative information to medical, research and administrative personnel;
2) Proficient with administrative software including MS Office and analytical software tools including SAS, STATA, R and SQL);
3) Managing, analyzing, and interpreting electronic health care data including Medicaid and Medicare claims data;
4) Managing and analyzing data in accordance with HIPAA and data security guidelines for handling Protected Health Information and
5) Mentoring, coaching, and training junior staff in data management and statistical analysis procedures and
6) SAS certification for Base Programmer and for Predictive Modeler using SAS Miner. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training and experience.
Compensation
