Network Systems Engineer (Cisco, Windows Server) is required for an exciting 6 month opportunity. This vacancy is for one of my public sector clients based in Greater Manchester. You will be a mentor and team lead for a small team of technicians . Your role will be to lead and support the team, and to maintain and develop the clients network and servers. The role primarily consists of assist ing with every day BAU tasks and supporting the team of 1st and 2nd line engineers as required .
You should be competent and confident in installing , maintaining and fault finding on all systems which include:-
* Windows Server
* SQL Server
* Exchange 2010
* Hyper-V Server Virtualization
* Network Routing and Switching
* Wireless Systems
* SAN Storage
. CISCO Networks - Routing and switching
You will have to ha ve exposure to all of the above . Any accreditations that are relevant to the above would also be advantageous. They are looking for a true all - rounder who can hit the ground running and maintain the smooth running of the company Infrastructure and its 1700 users.
The client has extensive use of Brocade, 3COM, Ruckus and Dell equipment so any knowledge of this would also be a huge bonus .
