One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a SAP SD Consultant.

Mission

The integration analyst will reinforce the functional team ERP SCM to be able to cope with the high workload and diverse application portfolio

For SAP based solutions (50% of the time)

Non-SAP Legacy solutions ( 50% of the time)

Profile/Skills

Profile: 

  • Good knowledge on SAP SD is mandatory;
    basic knowledge in other SAP SCM modules is an asset but not mandatory
  • basic knowledge on  logistics flows and processes

    • General IT Integration skills:

    i. Be familiar with basics of client - server application architecture;
    distributed application architecture (application Servers, separate dbase Servers, clustering)
    ii. Be familiar with basic principles of Middleware and SOA (service oriented architecture)
    iii. Basic IT and technical background to be able to understand how different applications are interfacing/interacting  (SAP systems interfacing to non SAP Legacy applications and Legacy applications interfacing to each other)
    iv. Be able to conduct basic troubleshooting and debugging of interfaces

    General ITIL knowledge

    i. Basic knowledge on testing best practices

    ii. Basic knowledge on change & release management best practices

    iii. Basic experience with linked tools like HP Service Manager, HP Quality Center,

    Experience:  typically between 1 and 5 years

    Main tasks & responsibilities

    Functional analyst in lead of design, build and testing of new requirements in the Supply Chain domain based on  SAP SD/MM;

  • Business Requirements gathering and clarification, sign off
  • implementation in close cooperation with technical analyst of the ABAP development team and the SAP Basis team
  • Testing & deployment of the developments acc. to local procedures and best practices

    • Assist functional analysts ERP SCM in all kind of integration aspects for non SAP logistics flows and applications:

  • TTA (track & trace of individual CPEs) - serial number tracking system for high value equipment (decoders, modems, tablets, )
  • BOM (Bill of Material) - management of stock in the field of our technicians; project to replace old Legacy application by an extension of the TTA project is ongoing - rollout expected to be finished by end of 2014

    • SPOMS; in support mode - complex integrated application

    Testing & testing support:

  • Prepare Integration (INT) test cases based on BREQs, process descriptions, use cases, etc. --> documentation in HP QCT tool
  • Execute INT testing incl. preparation of test data
  • Coordinate tests with different applications and application owners (internal & external suppliers)
  • Support business in UAT testing
  • Document test set-up procedures, 'how to test'; 'how to create test (master) data', etc.

    • KT on these procedures to offshore team and business Key Users and testers

    Documentation and Knowledge transfer (KT) to (offshore) support team

  • Document how the business processes are implemented End 2 end in the IT systems
  • Document testing & support procedures (see below)
  • Prepare KT towards offshore support team
  • Coordinate and follow up KT-process

    • Expert troubleshooting ( 3rd line support) & operational support:

    Intake of new defects and bugs that cannot be resolved by 1st or 2nd line support teams:
    assess impact - localise potential problem spot - root cause analysis and resolution if in own responsibility domain, else dispatch to concerned teams and follow up problem resolution

  • Document operational procedures
  • KT and handover towards offshore support team
