A large investment bank in downtown, New York City is seeking a Sr. Java Developer to join their fixed income group to work on a real-time trading and risk application. The application deals with multiple asset classes so you will be exposed to many different business areas.This team has been growing tremendously over the past 4 months and is looking to expand their team.
The ideal candidate will have experience with:
-core Java
-Multi threading
-Knowledge of relational databases (SQL, Oracle, Sybase)
-E-trading experience
LOCATION: Downtown Manhattan
DURATION: 6+ Months
RATE: Very Flexible with Competitive Rates (W2 ONLY)

Job Requirements
Essential Technical Skills: * Strong core Java.
* Multi-threading
* Working knowledge of relational databases / SQL - Oracle or Sybase
* Unix
Preferable Technical Skills: * TIBCO Rendezvous
* Java Swing
* Familiarity with Bloomberg and Reuters financial systems
* Excel VBA
Education / Qualifications Req: (Prospective) Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, etc).
Background/ Work Experience Required:
Ten years core J2SE experience
Financial services experience especially in the Fixed Income & Derivatives product area highly desirable but not essential.
The candidate must however demonstrate strong commercial aptitude / awareness and have an appreciation of the business drivers for technology.
