Software Engineer - Tools

Our client is on the cutting edge of innovative microelectronic products, ranging from consumer electronics to security and mass storage devices. This position is located in Cambridge with a company that have maintained their status as world leaders in microchip and electronic component manufacture.

We are looking for a talented software tools engineer who can work on a variety of technologies, contributing tools development for our client.

Skills required Include:

-In depth experience of C, C++ and Java, across a range of platforms such as the likes of Linux, Mac OS X and Windows.

-Understanding of how to write portable software.

-Proficient in scripting languages, such as Ruby or Python

-Testing skills and the knowledge of at least one xUnit framework

-Experience with version control systems, Git

-Experience with Jira

Desirable Skills Include:

-A strong knowledge of Embedded Systems

-Experience with Eclipse plugin development.

-Comfortable with UI and UX design

-Knowledge of verification tools

-Knowledge of Khronos standards such as OpenGL and OpenGL ES

-Some management/team lead experience.

-Experience with Agile software development

Qualifications:

BSc/MSc in computer science or a related discipline
