Settlement officer - On behalf of our client we are looking for a settlement officer to work for an international bank. This is a great opportunity to be part of a multi-cultural team and contribute on a major project.Requirements:
· Resolve exceptions in the straight through processing for all non-standard and complex operations for bonds and money market instruments
· Ensure accuracy and timeliness of confirmations, securities settlements and payments
· Create, check and maintain bond definitions in trading system
· Validate deal and settlement instructions
· Investigate and resolve confirmation mismatches, settlement failures and compensation requests together with front office, custodians and customers
Skills:
· Banking diploma or equivalent
· Knowledge of market practice
· Minimum of two year's work experience in finance or back or front office activities
· Good knowledge of securities, bonds, money market instruments
· Experience with SWIFT messaging formats desirable
· Knowledge of Bloomberg information systems
· Good communication skills
· Fluent spoken and written English essential
· Fluency in French and/or German desirable
· Some experience in IT
