Role Requirements:
The following list of activities gives a view of the role requirements:
To produce and maintain appropriate and up to date Availability & Capacity Plans that documents the current and future availability & capacity requirements aligned to business needs
To provide advice and guidance to all areas of the business and IT on availability & capacity related issues
To ensure that service availability targets are met or exceeded by measuring service and resource availability performance
To measure and report on the availability levels achieved
To ensure the impact of all changes on the Availability & Capacity Plans and the performance of all services and components are assessed properly in advance of the release of the change
Ensure that capacity is discussed and reviewed with Technical Specialists
Ensure that all new and changing capacity requirements are captured and investigated
Ensure that proactive measures to improve the capacity of services are implemented wherever it is cost justifiable to do so.
Knowledge of all capacity tools
- Must be able to take part in all technical conversations
- Must have experience in discussions with CIO
- Must be very Technical but also analytical
- Must have the ability to build and environment and then operate within it.
- Must be able to setup HPOV and build a function from the ground up.
