Description
My Client is a multinational oil company with specialist software products and consulting services based in Rijswijk in the Netherlands. They are looking for multiple Software Engineers to join them on 12 month contracts to start as soon as possible.Main Responsibilities
- Work in a development team to design and implement R&D tools based on the requirements that complement industry and in-house software tools.
- Engage with domain experts to understand their ideas, algorithms and workflows and translate those into software requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that the complete and integrated solution is properly configured, tested, delivered, maintained and supported
Requirements
Must have
- Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics degree.
- Experience with designing and implementing windows desktop applications with algorithmic content and interactive user interfaces.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a software development team developing in C#.
- Experience with requirements specification, analysis and software design.
- Experience with formal methodologies, processes or frameworks eg Scrum, CMMI, Agile, and MSF.
- Experience with structured software development environments - source control, issue tracking, testing environments and strategies.
- Strong customer focus and attention to detail.
- Good team player - able to motivate others and work in a team.
- Delivery-oriented focus with stamina and tenacity to overcome obstacles.
- Motivated to adapt to new challenges and quick to learn new skills.
- Strong analytical skills, but willing and able to tackle practical, hands-on tasks.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with the Scrum framework
- Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2012+.
- Experience with Team Build concepts
- Experience with WinForms and DevExpress, DevComponents.
- Experience with Open Inventor 3D visualization software.
- Experience with the JewelSuite-JewelEarth or Petrel-Ocean platforms.
- Experience with UML, Design patterns and test driven development.
- Industry certifications - eg MCTS, MCSD, etc.
