Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs simulations and calculations to determine if process systems are designed to meet customer's requirements
- Works closely with lead Process Engineers and Project Managers to ensure that scope of supply and design parameters are clear and well defined
- Assists Applications Engineers on technical issues related to preparation of proposals
- Assists in resolution of field problems and warranty claims
- Provides engineering calculations for complete heat and material balances, line sizing for all systems, equipment sizing hydraulic level specification, retention and settling times, instrumentation specification, PFD and P&ID development
- Provides engineering to evaluate customer comments on approval drawings for technical and commercial content additions
Below is a list of key experience/knowledge the successful candidate must have:
- Working knowledge necessary to complete daily engineering tasks associated with conceptual design, PFD and P&ID development, and process simulation
- Strong grasp on equipment design, sizing, specification, and selection
- Experience with system hydraulic design, bid preparation, PHA/HAZOP review, operator training, plant start-up, troubleshooting, and performance testing
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Chemical Engineering or a related field
- Four to ten years engineering and design experience with natural gas production, treating, and processing equipment and facilities including: Oil and Gas Separation; Dehydration; Amine Treating; Refrigeration Systems: J-T Unites; LPG Recovery; Fractionation
