An exciting opportunity is available in The Hague, The Netherlands for an IT Architect. This position is located in the Government/Public Sector.

Our client is on the verge of a renewal of their entire Legacy (application) environment based on IBM technology.

There will be a whole new front-and Back Office solution, based on open source technology.

For the design of the to-be architecture and the migration process, we are looking for an experienced and pragmatic IT Architect.

The IT architect will be responsible for IT design, migration strategy and this together with the right migration clusters and the quality of the migration.

Tasks

  • Responsible for the identification of the as-is, the to-be state of application and infrastructure level.
  • Responsible for the overall IT design and migration strategy.
  • Responsible for the translation of a migration strategy in a migration plan.
  • Responsible for the design and quality of the migration (testing).
  • Responsible for the content management and providing frameworks for choosing solutions. These tests.
  • Performs feasibility checks on migration clusters.
  • Provides frameworks, templates and functional and technical leadership within the project.
  • Prepares reviews and workshops.

Job requirements

  • IT training at least college level or equivalent
  • At least 10 years experience as an IT Architect/Enterprise Architect and possession of one or more certifications (eg TOFAF)
  • Experience with relevant and comparable migration paths
  • Experience with the design and implementation of migration testing
  • Knowledge of mixed environments (IBM/DB2, open source products
  • Activity, Tomcat, JBOSS, MySQL, Mule ESB, etc., BPMN, Power7, Linux, VMware)
  • Communication skills, tact and persuasiveness.
  • Good knowledge in English, both spoken and written.
  • Stress resistant, team worker,
  • Solution-oriented and pragmatic

The activities will take place in The Hague. The position will initially be three days a week.
