Description
Enterprise Data Architect urgently required at System Dynamics to join our project team.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:

Define, establish and maintain the Enterprise Data Governance Framework.

Produce and maintain guidelines, best practices, principles and standards for data
-
Ensure that the Enterprise Data Governance Framework, including agreed data policies and standards, are applied by all projects.

Ensure alignment, quality and consistency of domain data architecture with the overall enterprise data architecture, the roadmap and the enterprise standards.
-
Accountable for the solution data integrity, ensuring that the detailed design and delivered solutions conforms to the high level design.

Provides technical and data leadership
-
Contribute to the overall IT strategy, enterprise architecture and technology roadmap.
-
Analysis of the current and changing environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
-
Measuring and reducing the levels of exceptions and manual Back Office handling due to data quality issues.
-
Advise projects on matters related to Data Protection Act and other applicable data laws.
-
Provide the standard design for the construction of data mapping documents and oversee their generation.
-
Provide mentoring and guidance on application of architectural principles and data/information usage to projects and stakeholders
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes:

Formal data qualification (ie TOGAF, DAMA, etc)

Excellent written and communication skills.

Ability to maintain effective relationships and influence at all levels.

Problem identification and solving skills.
-
Excellent knowledge and track record of Information and data usage, models, methodologies and architecture.

Experience of applying data standards in heterogeneous, complex and changing enterprise architectures.

In-depth working knowledge of Datamodelling tools.

Experience in the design and implementation of relational data models.

Experience in data governance and data stewardship best practices
-
Knowledge of Oracle Master Data Management and Oracle Object-Relational Models.

Experience in implementation of enterprise data models in support Oracle Shared Services.
-
Strong background in information/data architecture within the Utility industry.

Excellent knowledge of information/data best practice to meet business process, governance, security, legal and regulatory requirements (ISO 27001, PCI DSS etc).

Strong ability to resolve and translate complex business processes and resolve with clear design and robust design solutions.
