I'm currently recruiting a Pathology Account and Application Manager for a temp to perm post at a London Acute NHS Trust. The role is to provide support for the Trust's Pathology IT System. You will need to ensure the IT requirements of the Pathology Department are met, and to be a liaison between the Pathology Department and the Information Services DepartmentYou will reporting directly into the Clinical IT Programme Manager and Information Services & Telecoms.
Responsibilities include:
o To have particular responsibility for the management, maintenance and service development of the Laboratory Information Systems, including Clinisys WinPath, Sunquest ICE, ICNet, CoSurv, QPulse, and Laboratory Equipment Interfaces.
o To be responsible for reviewing, writing, and validating I.T and I.T related Standard Operating Procedures, and Guidelines.
o To be actively involved in the I.T related aspects of the evaluation, implementation, and integration of new technology and methods, in conjunction with senior management staff.
o To help to ensure that laboratory resources are utilised economically by proposing I.T changes to working practices that will have a cost-effective impact.
o Liaise with external suppliers, staff and other members of the information department.
o To manage projects that you have been assigned by the Business Systems Manager, and provide project plans for the projects, and manage budgets for the projects
