My Telford based client is seeking an SC Cleared Repair Manager/Repairs Manager for a 5 month contract.
Must be willing & eligible to undergo SC clearance prior to the start date.
Key Tasks for the SC Cleared Repair Manager/Repairs Manager
* Responsible for the Project Management of engineering support of designated
mechanical/electronic/electrical systems and assemblies.
*Establishing present and future Global workload, allocating the work for in-year load, monitoring progress and taking the necessary action to ensure successful completion in line with the customer's requirements.
* Ensuring work is undertaken to the required quality standards in an economical and efficient manner in accordance with Programmes, Repair Orders, Contracts and delegated Financial Powers.
* Initiation and technical evaluation of contracts and their management to completion, ensuring delivery on time, quality and best value for money whilst exercising strict control of funds allocated.
* Liaison with Project Teams to ensure compliance with their repair policies, Service Level
Agreements and any special requirements on the part of the customer, ensuring any funding
requirements have been identified.
*Ensuring the repair facilities selected are assessed and suitable to carry out the depth of
repairs required.
*Monitoring repair costs and savings for relevant repair agencies and maintaining the appropriate progress records.
* Ensuring all work is supported, by specifications and using those specifications as foundation for tendering.
* To support the PQAO and QAR activities in order to identify and address the technical risks for Project Team endorsement.
* Assist Line Manager in the formulation of policy, and any other reasonable duties as allocated by the Repair Programme Manager.
Experience/Knowledge Required for the SC Cleared Repair Manager/Repairs Manager:
* Ideally qualifications appropriate to the grade in Engineering discipline, (minimum ONC
or equivalent SNCO forces background).
* Possess a sound and practical Engineering knowledge, and knowledge of Army equipments and support systems.
