Description
Mandatory RequirementsExperience in medical writing as demonstrated by meeting the following mandatory requirements:
1. Alternatively 4 years (doctorate degrees) or 6 years (masters degrees) of experience in writing of HTA/reimbursement submissions.
2. Ability to integrate medical writing capabilities into the creation of internal and external payer-related documents that summarize clinical endpoints, safety findings, economic value, and health-related QoL associated with Amgen products.
3. Broad-based knowledge of different study designs and their appropriateness for various types of research (including RCTs and prospective or retrospective observational studies)
4. Experience developing communication documents for which a template does not exist, including large complex documents (eg, dossiers)
5. Experience in understanding, providing context for, and integrating different data types from different sources (not just RCTs) in complex response documents (eg, HTAs)
6. Familiarity with concept of comparative effectiveness and cost-effectiveness
7. Experience synthesizing and reconciling cross-functional input into a single, coherent communication piece that works for all functions
8. Adept at liaising with cross-functional stakeholders (for example health economists, medical leads, brand leads, biostatisticians, global and regional reimbursement access leads) who are responsible for data generation
9. Strong attention to detail to ensure consistency in language within large documents
10. Superb written and verbal communication skills
11. Familiarity with common software applications e.g. Word, Endnote, Illustrator etc.
Additional Preferred Requirements
1. Knowledge of Amgen products, processes and stakeholders.
2. Experience working with HTA / reimbursement submissions for various counties
3. Expertise in therapeutic areas of interest, for example oncology, inflammation, cardiovascular or metabolism.
4. Ability to independently advance numerous projects simultaneously, and to work effectively with HTA COE PM as appropriate.
5. Ability to work in a matrixed team environment.
