A leading healthcare provider in the Duluth, MN area is currently recruiting for a Chief Information Security Officer.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Initiates the development and implementation of an annual budget in order to ensure the ability to monitor overall financial performance of the department and make timely adjustments to achieve operating financial targets.
  • Initiates and develops strategic plans, policies and procedures for enterprise Information Technology Security program.
  • Establishes and measures organizational performance against goals and objectives.
  • Plans and directs utilization of Information Security resources to support strategic direction and operation of the Health System.
  • Oversees the planning, organization and direction of Information Security within the Health System, including: growth objectives, program goals, capital requirements, and technological equipment processes.
  • Ensures managerial oversight of applicable Information Security architecture and engineering within all new and existing Health System computing environments.
  • Ensures managerial oversight of all applications security including, but not limited to, the EMR and Revenue Cycle security program teams.
  • Oversees the direction of all Information Security operations and all related procedures.
  • Ensures HIPAA, PCI and all related regulatory compliancy of applicable technologies and information services.
  • Directs Information Security awareness communication to all communities including Senior Management, Physicians, Volunteers, employees including all related external business associates.
  • Oversees all Information Security investigations.
  • Selects, develops, manages and evaluates direct reports and oversees the development, management and evaluation of indirect reports.
  • Seeks feedback to identify and exceed the expectations of patients and all customers.
  • Defines standards for quality and makes high quality service a top priority for all.


Experience and Qualifications
  • A minimum of ten (10) or more years of full-time (or equivalent) experience in the field of information technology security is required. Experience in a higher education environment, in the role of information security professional, is required.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Current CCISO professional certification is required.
