PRIMARY DUTIES:
Understand project timing and apply yourself to deliverables once drawings are released to
manufacturing/prototype facility support all requests and build events.
Understand customer SDS requirements and design accordingly, where no compliance occurs make input into design FMEA (safety/function circuits with respect to fusing)
Your output is primarily circuit diagrams and dsi files to facilitate harness I/O
Take all Device transmittals in conjunction with circuit diagram and audit quality and content
Understand all attributes of a wiring harness and optimise the design in support of VA/VE events
Interface with customer responsible engineers/system owners to resolve/ finalise designs
Interface with connector, fusebox and component suppliers to attain required detail
Arrange circuit audit timetable involving required attendees in line with development timing
Check component info against EDS circuits (connectivity, plating & connector)
Apply and confirm for amendments to circuit tool databases within JLR
Support Program Management time line to gain dsi's in a timely manner
Review of Returned DSI
Use BOM circuit lengths and back annotated onto circuit drawing
Produce Circuit Health Chart to identify any resolved issues at the release
When necessary work additional hours to support difficult time lines
Make suggestions to improve the process you work with and the project to which you are assigned
Have knowledge of drawing systems to ensure robust integrity of data exchange
Responsible for release of dsi files in support of MRD and drawings.
When necessary support problem resolution of vehicle electrical issues.
Responsible for all circuit design and giving input to design FMEA and RMDV
Have extensive knowledge of Vehicle Electrical Systems, circuits and world legislations
Be a team player supporting at all time the needs of colleagues.
