An opportunity has arisen with one of our major public sector clients for a Commercial Officer on a 6 month contract.
The Commercial Officer will be responsible for supporting the procurement process of a major public sector project with particular emphasis on the timely provision to bidders of information and responses to clarification questions. Other task will include general administration tasks for the project team in relation to the commercial programme; and document preparation activities.
To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:
- Working within a procurement/commercial environments.
- Strong planning and organising skills
- Communication and relationship building skills
- Decision-making and conflict management
- Experience within the public sector or rail industry
- Knowledge of the rail industry and its information systems (desirable)
