Job Summary
The Medical Advisor is accountable for providing accurate, fair, and balanced medical advice to support the development and introduction of new consumer healthcare products and the existing product portfolio. The product portfolio includes over-the-counter medicines, medical devices, food supplements, biocides and cosmetics. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Advisor will be responsible for the medical/clinical due diligence, and medical input to support claims, product labelling, regulatory documentation and advertising. This role will provide the medical input to enquires of a medical nature from customers and healthcare professionals, and will participate in safety reviews of th products.

Responsibilities
Utilising medical/clinical knowledge, expertise and analysis of data the advisor will be responsible for:
* Conducting due diligence of 3rd Party medical and clinical data, and the associated regulatory documentation highlighting business risks and proposing solutions.
* Medical/clinical aspects of the product labelling, e.g. product claims, efficacy and safety information for the products
* Input and written support for product claims and advertising
* Medical aspects of the product artwork
* Writing or managing the clinical regulatory documentation to support medicines and medical devices
* Researching, collating and writing responses to medical enquiries
* Researching, collating and providing written justification to support safety reviews of products.

What we're looking for
* Pharmacist or life degree with experience working in Medical Affairs preferably in consumer healthcare
* Awareness and understanding of consumer healthcare therapeutic areas and best clinical practice
* Understand and can interpret medical and clinical data
* Awareness and understanding of consumer needs
* Ability to translate complex information into written communication aimed at consumers or regulatory authorities. Experience of medical writing or interested in developing experience in preparing documentation to support new Marketing Authorisation Applications or Clinical Evaluations.
* Awareness and understanding of legislative requirements for the labelling, product claims and advertising of medicines and medical devices.
* Attention to detail
* Works collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Excellent communication skills
