A leading healthcare provider in the San Diego area is currently recruiting for a Revenue Cycle Application Reporting Analyst.DESCRIPTION
- Provides programming and analytical support to the Revenue Cycle team.
- Performs a variety of duties relating to the Information Technology applications, specifically Epic Resolute Hospital and Professional Billing, which manages inpatient, emergency and outpatient billing for hospitals and physician billing; Epic Prelude, which provides patient registration, address verification, and HIPAA-compliant eligibility tools to ensure accurate billing; and Epic Cadence, a patient scheduling application.
- Responsibilities include: serving as a analytical/technical resource to the team; designing, developing, testing, implementing, and evaluating hospital billing and/or professional billing information systems for the organization; planning, developing, training, implementation, and evaluation of information systems to support ongoing operations and ensure development, evaluation, and ongoing support for all components of the program.
- Provides statistical and financial reporting/analysis to internal/external entities as directed by supervisor.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare related field, Finance/Business and/or Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years experience supporting healthcare Revenue Cycle applications including implementation and/or maintenance.
- Three years data analysis experience using spreadsheet software such as Excel (specifically: formula writing, pivoting and importing data).
- Experience in an on-call role for a 7/24 department, with rapid response time (e.g., responding to server downtime notification, staffing, disaster response, etc.).
- Master's degree in Healthcare related field, Finance/Business and/or Information Technology.
- Experience in one or more of the following revenue cycle functions: Patient Access and Admitting, Charge Capture, Denials Management and Recovery, Patient Accounting, and/or Patient Financial Services.
- Experience with the following applications: Databound EMUE or other emulator application, SQL, Clarity Reports.
- EPIC systems software experience (implementation, support, upgrades, etc.) for the following applications: Cadence, Prelude, Resolute Hospital and Professional Billing.
- EPIC certification.
- Knowledge of ASC X12 terms and familiar with 5010 data elements.
