The role
To support the delivery of commercial solutions covering the procurement of goods and services for the client and/or the wider Police Service (eg professional services, corporate services, mainstream categories and ICT). The job holder will assist in maintaining relationships between client Commercial and Procurement Unit (CPU)and key stakeholders and users/officers. This will include in put to category and supplier management and maximization of value for money.
Knowledge/Experience
- Ideally be working towards CIPS qualification or part qualified, or willing to study for CtPS qualifications
- Experience of working in a commercial environment, preferably procurement
- Must have ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders
- Must have good written and oral communication skills; good interpersonal skills to build an effective working relationship with colleagues and internal/external customers
- Must have the ability to pIan and organise own work effectively
