Job Specification - Senior Electronics EngineerWe are seeking a Senior Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to join our team working on the next generation of remote data collection and leak detection products and to support the current products that we manufacture.
The successful candidate will undertake various design activities including generating requirements specifications and internal development/customer facing documentation, innovative circuit design and analysis and validation testing. Other tasks will include investigating cross disciplinary technical problems and implementation of solutions through to Production and on to customer satisfaction.
To carry out these tasks, the candidate must have at least 3 years experience of electronic hardware engineering which includes some or all of the following:
Essential:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Experience with both analogue and digital electronics including:
- Experience of low power battery operated product design.
- Experience of designing microcontroller based products
- Knowledge of low-medium power switching technologies such as motor or solenoid driving.
- Linear and Switching power converter design
- Design techniques including:
- Schematic capture
- Circuit simulation
- Design for EMC and ESD robustness
- Design for volume manufacture
- RF circuits
Desirable:
- Technical project leadership/people management experience
- Experience in low power RF/GSM and antenna design.
- Embedded C/C++ and/or assembler
- Experience with ATEX/IEC accreditation
- Experience of using Altium
- Design techniques including:
- PCB design and layout
- FMEA

Occasional international travel may be necessary.
