Description
A market leading retailer based in Hertfordshire is looking for an SSIS Developer with Cognos Report Writer experience on a contract basis for 6 months.Reporting the Business Intelligence Manager your primary responsibility will be to trouble shoot and resolve issues with production data and reporting systems (databases, data interconnections, reports, legacy data applications such as Excel VBA). You may also be required to assist in the re-development of legacy systems into a new framework (Data warehouse and central reporting environment).
Candidates wishing to apply must have core experience of the SQL Server stack 2008 R would be nice to have). You will have lots of SSIS experience, and complex SQL, with some SSAS. Candidates must also have experience of Cognos as a front-end and knowledge of other standard reporting / dashboards in one type of software (SSRS etc).
Lastly this is a business facing role, therefore candidates apply should have excellent stakeholder engagement skills (strong communication). You will be required to find answers for yourself, go and speak to the users to get issues resolved / fixed - explaining complex problems in a non-complex way.
Rate: £330 to £390 per day
