Support Engineer - Southampton - Daily Rate: £250-£350
An exciting opportunity for an MPEG and DVB Support Engineer based in Southampton, required to investigate complex technical issues, troubleshoot systems in operation and provide technical solutions as reported by customers and support organisations.
This is a large, global company who specialise in the manufacture, delivery and distribution of content around the world.
This position involves the investigation, diagnosis and technical solutions for MPEG and DVB compression systems. Through communication with external customers and internal support functions, information will be gathered to identify and resolve problems which may include customer visits for complex faults. Report on faults and failures include suggestions of solutions and workarounds.
The successful candidate will have experience with DVB/MPEG compression systems and a strong understand in DVB/MPEG theory. They will pro-actively use theoretical knowledge to analyse and resolve complex problems.
UK driving licence is required for travel around the UK. Some overseas travel may also be required.
