Description
We are looking for a SQL Database Administrator in Plano, TX
We will need a person who has a minimum of five years experience, and who's had multiple SQL 2000 > SQL 2005 and SQL 2005 > SQL 2008 successful conversions in their portfolio.
The major items of focus are:
Experience - the candidate must have SQL 2000 experience and conversion from that platform experience
Database integrity and artifact cleanup
Backup, compression and archival methodology
Active migration to either net new systems (2008 or above from any pre-2008 SQL platform) or into a consolidated SQL Back End.
A firm understanding of SQL tuning, queue tuning, index rebuilds, BLOBS, and reporting services.
Contingency planning if things go wrong with a migration.
