Cognos Business Intelligence Developer required for 6 months within the West Midlands region.You will be joining my client in the education sector for the duration of 6 months. Here you will be working along side the existing team, speaking with the stakeholders in order to recreate the system making it work more efficiently.
Duration: 6 Months
Rate: £300 - £400
Location: West Midlands
Start Date: September 14'
Essential Skills
- Several years' experience of developing BI applications, including their architecture, including in Cognos v.10
- Strong database / data warehouse experience
- Significant involvement in supporting business users
- Developing data extracts from ERP
- SQL Server and SSIS
- Report development using Cognos 10.x, Framework Manager, PowerPlay multi-dimensional cubes, security architecture and ideally Cognos TM1
- Programming languages (e.g. VBA)
- Developing and maintaining ETL solutions (preferably Datastage)
- Manufacturing environment and associated processes
Desirable Skills
- Software development and associated methodologies
- Experience of developing solutions using SharePoint
- Working on projects
Other Requirements
Working very closely with the BI team, you will need to be a good team player and have the ability to work under pressure.
