- Job Title: Head of IT

BACKGROUND
Real Staffing are recruiting on behalf of a leading public healthcare provider which requires an interim Head of IT to manage the day-to-day operations of the Trust's IT function.
The successful applicant will contribute to the Trust's ongoing IT development programme whilst ensuring that the department achieves it's medium and long-term objectives.
KEY DUTIES
- Work with the senior management team to develop the Trust's IT strategy
- Re-organise the IT team structure and improve processes
- Hold responsibility over the department's budget
- Engage with stakeholders
- Support contract negotiations with 3rd party suppliers
- Review and upgrade the Trust's infrastructure where required
- Collaborate with programme managers to provide IT assistance
- Manage and develop a team including monthly performance reviews
- Resolving escalated issues from system end-users
REQUIREMENTS
- Recent NHS experience
- Managed an IT department
- Strong systems knowledge
- Prince2 project management methodology
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Candidates should have recent experience operating in an IT management post within an NHS organisation.
The rate and band level of the post will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
