Senior Telecoms System Architect/Chief Architect
Two excellent opportunities for experienced Chief or Senior Architects to join a leading telecoms vendor. The roles will involve leading a team of architects and advanced proof of concept activities. The two successful candidates will also add deep knowledge of high performance computing in both Real Time and batch systems. Along with directing the architecture specification of next generation platforms in the field of customer experience.
These roles will report to the Head of the lab as well as key business and technical stakeholders in HQ. The positions are being offered on a contract basis with competitive daily rates and will be located in the company's Dublin based office.
Role Responsibilities
* Lead and direct advanced network analytic platform project in European lab.
* Interface to HQ, senior management presentations and customer engagements.
* Strategic direction of technology adoption and portfolio realization.
* Direct and manage architecture and proof of concept teams.
* Discuss business requirements with the customer and present to stakeholders.
* Technology roadmap and innovation planning.
* Technical specification and technical reporting.
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience within a Chief or Senior Architect or similar position. This will be software architecture experience ideally in the telecoms industry, but other industries will be considered.
* Experience within R&D in data intensive architecture for event processing systems.
* Experience of working for a service provider.
* Excellent Knowledge in noSQL and hybrid data warehouse architectures.
* A good understanding of business models in cloud systems.
* In-depth knowledge and experience of Hadoop eco-system and open source community .
* Expertise in the specification of API's to expose platform capabilities, from both internal development and B-2-B viewpoints.
* Strong leadership skills with proven track record of advanced prototyping.
