Information Security ConsultantA leading healthcare provider is looking for a senior-level, tech-enthusiast to join a quickly growing information security team, on a contract basis. You will assist in the assessment as well as research, development and implementation of technologies, techniques, and process improvements pertaining to initiatives that require information security guidance. The role, therefore, requires the ability to strategize and architect security solutions to help remediate deficiencies. You will be working with both the project personnel as well as business management teams, which means that as the subject matter expert, you will need to articulate information security requirements and risks in business language.
The ideal candidate will have a security mindset and the ability to think outside the box, contributing to a team of highly motivated and skilled information security practitioners. As a Managing Consultant, the main goal is to balance both security and business imperatives using a risk based approach. Youl will coordinate and assist in information security assessments and provide security consulting in one or more of the following fields: application, network, OS platform, and biomed device security. Main responsibilities include reviewing security assessments in order to determine the security posture of existing environments, identifying risks, recommend remediation plans and ensure internal projects are deployed in a secure fashion.

- Proven ability to communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical business area representatives.
- Good understanding of regulatory climate and industry standards such as SOX, HIPAA and PCI
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent experience.
* A minimum of 10 years of experience in solutions consulting including defining requirements, developing solution alternatives and estimates and translating client's business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for large complex IT solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Demonstrated work experience in two or more of the following: application security, network security, or platform/OS security in engineering, architecture or consulting capacity
*Formal training and general certification in the security field, both vendor agnostic and vendor specific (such as CCIE, CISA, CISSP, GIAC)
* Prefer consulting background
