Description
The Field Telecoms Project Engineer is a hybrid role which offers a cross-business exposure and requires the incumbent to operate in the [surface facilities] Project Engineering and the IT Project/Programme Management domains as well as to have a good understanding of the relevant engineering disciplines (telecommunications, instrumentation, controls and automation).
The purpose of the Field Telecoms Project Engineer is to manage the end-to-end delivery of the telecommunications systems supporting the Capital Project in the EXECUTE phase (aka Temporary Telecoms) and the telecommunication facilities intended for use during the OPERATE phase (aka Permanent Telecoms).
Knowledge of:
- Typical Upstream/Downstream IT infrastructure and telecom solutions.
- Regulatory environment in the telecoms space and the industry and Shell technical standards.
- Typical contracting & procurement processes in Projects (prequalification, invitation to tender and award stages).
- Opportunity Realization Process (ORP), DCAF process and Project Standards (desirable).
- HSSE in Projects (desirable).
