Description
Role purpose:
Working within operational offices you will be requested to support key site and office based personnel, through understanding and assisting with operational planning and co-ordination of design and construction activities.
Key Accountabilities:
To ensure all work is scheduled in accordance with the requirements of the Alliance Planning Guidelines and the companies specific guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan & update work schedules in accordance with internal processes
- Manage and maintain the Client's and organisations bespoke Management Systems
- Negotiation with site managers, personnel on timing of work/planning etc
- Provide backup and assistance to the NRSWA Co-ordinator to ensure current and future Streetworks legislation is met in order to minimise financial risk and non compliances
- Ensure effective and efficient workload for operators that is in accordance with Company Safety Rules, Health and Safety legislation and Environmental standards. Particularly the CDM regulations where applicable
- Understanding and achieving clients' targets and SLA's.
- Allocate resources and costs to the programmes so that forward resource requirements can be assessed and costs to date and costs to completion can be evaluated.
- Assist in the implementation of any required process, system or behavioural change
- Any ad-hoc duties as required
- Work towards the values stated in the mission statement
Interacts with:
- Employees on the Contract
- Management on the Contract
- Nominated representatives on behalf of the Client
- Design engineers
Skills Required:
Essential:
- Previous Planning Experience
- Good IT skills (particularly with Microsoft applications - Word/Excel)
- Flexibility and the ability to work reactively and under-pressure
Desirable:
- An understanding of NRSWA is desirable but not essential
