Manufacturing Technician/CNC Operator
Location: Birmingham
Rate: £14.00 - £18.00 per hour plus shift uplift
Contract Length: 6 months
Shifts: 3 shift pattern - 6am -2pm, 2pm -10pm
The Company:
A leading aerospace client, dealing in the design, development and manufacture of electronic control systems for aero gas turbine engines.
The Role:
As a manufacturing technician you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC Turning or Milling machines to produce aerospace components in a high precision environment. Initially responsibilities would focus around manufacture of Valve & Bearing components.
The Manufacturing Technician may also be involved in deburring and inspection operations for complex machined components.
Candidate
As a manufacturing technician you will have experience of setting and operating CNC Lathes or mills (Matsuura, Yasda and Doosans) and be capable of reading manufacturing/assembly drawings. Ideally you will have a manufacturing apprenticeship, but candidates with relevant experience and other similar qualifications will also be strongly considered.
As this is a shift based position, you must be willing to work flexible shift patterns.
