Outsource UK Ltd are actively seeking to recruit a Configuration Management Engineer for a contract role on behalf of a client.

A leading Engineering and Defence organisation

The Job:
Our leading defence client are looking to recruit a Configuration Management Engineer, to work as part of the Combat Air Configuration Management/Qualification & Certification (CMQC) Team, supporting their governance & operational activities.

A vacancy exists within the Combat Air Configuration Management/Qualification & Certification Team (CMQC Team). The team is part of the Combat Air Central Engineering Office which works across the portfolio of Combat Air products and services.
The position will offer a great opportunity to attain a complete overview of the Aircraft Weapon System through the full engineering life cycle.

The role will involve Technical Integration from operational and governance perspectives, covering aspects including Requirements, Configuration, Qualification and Certfication Management as applied to aircraft and support products. Successful applicants may be involved with process design and development, requirements capture, control of product change, status accounting, product audits, verification, qualification, data management and in-service support.
Experience in the application of CMQC principles & procedures is desirable as is a working knowledge of the Product Lifecycle Manager (PLM Teamcentre) tool, DOORS, CR/CP tool, & associated IT packages. Experience in the use of Outlook, MS Word, Excel. Powepoint etc. is essential.
The team itself is a well established high performing team that has a strong culture of developing individuals and employing and promoting best practice across business boundaries.
