We are seeking a junior database and systems administrator for a contract to hire opportunity to work for our Oil and Gas client based in Houston, TX. The Ideal candidate will have to manage and develop the day to day use of the database and help staff make maximum use of it.Duties:
- To ensure that information on the database is up to date and accurate
- To manage database access and permissions
- To design maintenance procedures and putting them into operation;
- To oversee the archiving of data on the database.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience of working with and interrogating databases including creating reports and ensuring data accuracy.
- Familiarity with computer operating systems and database technology (design, software and structure).
- Technical expertise in MySQL and Pivot tables.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- University Degree in MIS/Computer Science or equivalent field experience.
