Our client requests a proposal for the provision of a Project Manager to support the management of a number of Maintenance Department related projects. An experienced individual with project management experience in Maintenance / Engineering areas is sought to fill this position.

API Operations is based across two Manufacturing sites; Swords in North Co. Dublin and Cruiserath, located in the Blanchardstown area in West Dublin.
Scope:
The scope of the support requested will initially cover the management of two specific projects:
• MRO - Engineering Stores Improvement
o This project will deliver an optimised MRO Stores model for the Swords site, manage the closure of the Cruiserath MRO Stores and aspects related to P5 closure in Swords. The project will also identify efficiencies across various spare part categories and deliver cost savings.
• Maintenance Compliance Program - Asset Classification and Criticality project
o This project is part of a broader maintenance Department improvement program. The project involves determination and assignment of asset classification and criticality for all assets on the Swords site. The Project Manager will be responsible to sustain and deliver the current project, working cross-functionally within the site. On-going assessment of project improvement and delivery of simplification and resource / time savings is required.

The selected Project Manager will be responsible for the specific projects as described above. Additional administrative roles will also be assigned, e.g. progress tracking and reporting for the Maintenance Compliance program.
The Asset project is well defined and requires sustained implementation. The MRO Stores project is at initial Business case stage with a charter document in place. The Project Manager will be responsible to build the project plan and other required project management documents.

The list of specific projects included within the scope of this RFP is yet to be finalised. The bidder is therefore requested to provide a table of rates and current CV for the proposed person.

Role Requirements:
The proposed Project Manager must have a strong commitment to the successful execution of cross functional projects. He/she will need to comprehend the Business Case developed by the Program Sponsor for the relevant initiative which has led to the program in question and ensure that any future optimisations to the programs are informed by the business imperatives and the expected benefits.

The Project Manager will have the experience and ability to build and manage an appropriate team of internal and external resources (which will be approved by BMS) to produce a high-quality output.

The Project Manager will be required to execute all standard requirements of the role including to preparation regular project updates to the maintenance Director and Manager, budget reporting and resource planning.
This position will have a single reporting line to the Maintenance Director.

Person Requirements:
The person proposed for this Project Management role will have owner experience in managing engineering and maintenance projects. He/she must have excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others. This role will interface heavily with the key Sponsor (Maintenance Director) and the Lead End Users.
