Description
Senior software tester required for a global empire located in the north west of England. The Senior Software Test Engineer is a member of a Software Development Team. The Senior Software Test Engineer performs all aspects of Software Testing including Test planning, Exploratory Testing, Test Case design and review, and test execution including the raising of defects and finally summarizing the testing activities of the project. The test cases maybe a mixture of both manual and automated tests as appropriate, however the expected primary focus will be the creating and maintaining the manual test suite. The Senior Software Test Engineer should also contribute to the design of the software where applicable. At time the Senior Software Test Engineer will be required to perform the Test Lead role on SDLC projects.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience in testing within a structured environment preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or Chromatography Data Systems (CDS) is highly desirable.
- Sound Working knowledge of windows operating systems and MS Office applications
- Able to follow detailed instructions
- Good analysis and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines
- Good team player
The following are desirable
- Knowledge of C# preferred.
- ISEB certificate in Software Testing preferred
- Exposure to Quality Center preferred
