Description
Compliance Manager is required by HSBC.
Suitable candidates must have skills/experience with;
- Compliance (experience either in a regulatory body and/or a major bank, preferably in the commercial banking space)
- Proven ability to interpret and give guidance on complex regulatory issues
- Ability to guide on implementing compliance policy and to make appropriate recommendations
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Assertiveness and strong negotiation skills: firm but fair
- Self-motivation and the necessary focus and desire to achieve the right outcomes
- Proven organisational abilities and ability to multi-task effectively on a consistent basis
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small team
It would also be advantageous to have:
- Relevant qualifications in line with the Compliance Training & Competency Scheme (desired, but not essential)
- A good level of knowledge of the FCA Handbook and of the UK's regulatory environment
- Knowledge and understanding of compliance risks within the Commercial Banking arena
- Understanding of how Commercial Banking products function and are distributed
