MVC DEVELOPER - C# .NET/SQL SERVER - EAST SUSSEX
An excellent long term contract opportunity has arisen within a global, field leading organisation for an MVC Developer with strong C# .NET & SQL Server skills.
The successful candidate will be required to support the Software Development Manager and Lead Developer in delivering bespoke software solutions for the client across all business sites in a C# .Net/SQL Server environment working within an Agile development team.
Technologies used include; Windows Forms, WPF, WCF/Service and MVC Web Applications.
The primary role for the contracted developer will be to develop new MVC Web Application to capture and manage data and documents stored in a SQL Server Database using WCF and Entity Framework.
Specific Responsibilities
Application Development;
- Coding of new application functionality using C#/SQL server
- Maintenance & modification of existing applications, services and websites.
- Resolution of escalated developer oriented helpdesk issues
Specific Competencies;
You will have a solid .NET and SQL Server based development background with extensive experience in a similar role and a proven track record of building quality corporate applications and delivering them on time.
You will be a team player with a calm, logical approach even under pressure and good time management skills. You will also have the ability to effectively prioritise incoming workload, communicate in plain English to all levels of staff both verbally and in written format.
Technical skills;
- You must have strong c# .net development skills for web, service and desktop applications with specific focus on MVC and WCF.
- You must have strong MS SQL Server skills covering security and development.
- Use of C# Design Patterns, 3rd Party Components
- Test Driven Development
