Description
We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work with one of our prestigious clients in Finland.The successful applicant will work in the Portalify Integrated Messaging Service team developing Server components mainly using Java.
- Supporting requirements analysis
- Supporting the definition and planning of work packages
- Design, Coding, Unit and Integration Testing of software according to design guidelines
- Authoring Software documents
- Collaborating with other software engineers on a technical level
- Collaborating with system engineering and test teams
- Supporting existing products
The implementation language is Java in a SUSE Linux Enterprise environment.
Description Of Person (Main skills, personal attributes):
Essential skills or experience:
- Thorough understanding of the SW development lifecycle within an enterprise SW product line.
- Extensive knowledge of Core Java 6+
- Ability to write clean, modular Perl, good understanding of OO Perl
- Experience with databases and knowledge of SQL
- Experience in web service development & knowledge of related frameworks (JEE, Spring)
- Knowledge of OOD, design patterns, UML modelling
- Experience in developing multi-threaded, low latency applications
- Experience of using configuration management and fault tracking tools
- Experience with distributed, scalable SW
Desirable skills or experience:
- Planning SW work packages
- Good command of web client development techniques (Javascript, GWT)
- Experience with continuous integration environment and TDD development
- Experience in deployment and configuration of Web and Enterprise Containers (Tomcat, JBoss, Glassfish)
- Experience of using tools for measuring code coverage, profiling and memory leak detection
- Experience in Radio Networks is highly desirable
- Experience of working with SUSE Linux Enterprise is highly desirable.
