Magento Developer - Manchester - 3 Months+(Magento, PHP, Mysql)
My client based in the city centre of Manchester and is a highly respected digital agency/consultancy. They provide web solutions to high profile end clients, specialising in E-Commerce, PHP, Zend, Drupal and Magento. They work with clients such as Sky, BBC, BP and numerous broadcasting clients.
The company is currently enjoying a very successful period and as a result needs some additional development resource on the Magento platform.
Key Skills:
- A thorough understanding of the Magento architecture, with experience in developing custom extensions
- Extensive experience and a high standard of PHP coding ability, with an understanding of the advantages of producing clean, maintainable code
- The ability to discuss requirements with a client, draw up and document a detailed implementation plan and architect a suitable solution
- The ability to work with and support other team members to set up, configure, develop, deploy and support a Magento installation
- Sufficient knowledge of the Magento templating system to work alongside our front-end and design teams in building beautiful, cross-browser compatible sites
Desirable Skills:
- A solid understanding of front-end development, HTML/CSS and Javascript/JQuery
- Experience of integrating Magento with external systems (e.g. product catalogues, ERP, CRM, SOP)
- Experience with automated testing techniques, specifically Behat
Desirable Skills:
- A solid understanding of front-end development, HTML/CSS and Javascript/JQuery
- Experience of code driven development, Drush and Git workflows
- Knowledge and experience of SimpleTest and/or Selenium testing
Contract Location: Manchester
Contract Length: 3 Months initially with likely extension
Contract Rate: £200 - £250 per day
