Group Brand Intern

The Group Brand team has recently embarked on an exciting programme to reposition the Royal London brand and to make an engaging proposition for members and customers. The Brand team is made up of five key areas which are Brand Management, Customer Insight, Membership and Digital, Corporate Responsibility and PR and External Communications.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Brand Intern to join the team on a 12 month contract to provide co-ordination, communications and project support to the Brand team on a variety of projects across these core areas.

Based in Edinburgh, key duties and responsibilities of the role include:

  • Project support on a wide variety of projects according to the team's current priorities and workload across the areas of Brand Management, Customer Insight, Membership and Digital, Corporate Responsibility and PR and External Communications.
  • To source and write copy for use in internal and external communications.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the Brand and CR related Intranet pages using the Episerver content management system.
  • Admin and co-ordination for the Edinburgh based Brand team to include travel booking, stationery ordering, minute taking & distribution, meeting organisation and desk based research.
  • Receive invoices for Brand team related costs and reconcile against monthly variance report.
  • To assist the Group CR Manager to co-ordinate the Group's Community programme which includes the employee volunteering scheme and charitable giving programme.
  • Collation, presentation and distribution of relevant Management Information (MI) reports for the Brand team.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

  • Excellent writing ability. Able to take information from a variety of different sources to write interesting and compelling articles and stories.
  • Experienced in using PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word to intermediate level or above. Some experience of using content management systems would be useful but not essential as training will be given.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Takes initiative and seeks continuous improvement.
  • Flexible attitude.
  • Good organisational and planning skills.
  • Particularly interested in candidates with knowledge/experience of carrying out primary research

This role is based in Edinburgh for a duration of 12 months and may involve occasional travel to London.
