A Renewable Energy client is looking for an Offshore Cables Engineer - Marine Cabling (Export & Array) to work in the clients onshore UK offices. The client is looking for an individual who has worked in a development capacity, with office base experience. The role could involve travel to Contractors and Consultants offices and the client's sites in the UK & Europe.

Job Description:

Reporting directly to the Export and Array Cable Package Managers, responsible for providing detailed engineering support into the design, tender process, negotiations, manufacturing, delivery, installation, commissioning and handover to operation of the export and array cabling for the wind farm

Responsibilities/Key Skills:
Supporting UXO inspection and clearance operations
Supporting Subsea Boulder removal operations
Supporting marine survey operations
Supporting the Route Engineering Process
Support the Cable Package Manager in all technical matters
Provide technical support to the Tender Process and negotiation phase together with the Package Managers and Procurement Officer
Preparation of technical contract specifications
Monitoring, checking and evaluation of contractual issues
Controlling of contract obligations, monitoring of deadlines and milestones
Control of budgets and costs associated with the cabling contracts
Substantive examination of invoices, claims and their evaluation and authorisation
Organisation, preparation and where necessary, chairing of internal and external project meetings
Technical support of the OFTO process and co-operation with the OFTO owner
Checking and review of drawings and documentation
Supporting the QA/QC Manager and Package Manager during preparation and implementation of the quality plan for the Project and Package
Support to QA/QC process during design, manufacture, transportation, installation and commissioning phases of the project
Co-ordination and co-operation with Technical excellence and other electoral-related Company standards and initiatives
Provide support to peer reviews, technical workshops and input to gate review process
Liaison and co-ordination with other project teams to apply synergies, best practice and lessons learnt that will benefit the project and company
Must be highly motivated
Previous experience of renewable project origination, development and construction preferable - specific experience in marine cabling an advantage
Technical educational qualification in related discipline
Strong influencing and negotiation skills
Strong project management skills
Excellent IT and presentation skills
Strong team player
Good knowledge of GIS system
