Operations Analyst/Banking Graduate

An excellent opportunity to provide technical and analytical support in an industry leading Derivatives support function for one or more Derivatives product areas

Using established techniques; you will analyse and resolve a wide variety of Derivatives operations problems and initiatives. At the forefront of new operational initiatives, products and services, you will play an integral role in improving our operational efficiency. In addition, you will be building relationships with our clients on a global scale, whilst adding value to our trade support functions across London, Hong Kong, Singapore and New York.

You will have an opportunity to learn a great deal about the Investment Banking Operational process and also Derivative Products. You will deal with clients and trading desks from all over the world and thus this makes for a very interesting and varied role, with no day being exactly the same.

Possess excellent communication skills, with an appetite for client service delivery, in a fast - paced, multi-faceted role. Prior Investment Banking experience would be beneficial, particularly within the Operations space but this is not essential and many of the team have come from varied backgrounds

Responsibilities
* Cash Payment Notice Generation
* Working with external clients to agree cash flows, providing all round client service to our global business
* Global Liaison with London, Hong Kong, Singapore and New York Trade Support to resolve and escalate Risk and break issues.
* Add value though implementation of improvements to the system infrastructure & control environment
* Communicate updates and escalation to senior management.
* Investigate and resolve pre and post cash settlement discrepancies and non-receipts.
* Undertake cash reconciliations
* Report on and clear cash breaks.
* Involvement in projects and ad-hoc testing
* Invoicing and collection of Transaction Tax for eligible trades
* Reconciliation and reporting of Tax accounts and breaks
* Payment to the relevant Tax authorities

Requirements
Previous Banking experience - product knowledge would be an advantage
