- Windows Server Administration and issues/problems resolution
- VMWare ESXi (v5) Administration and related issues/problems resolutions
Key responsibilities:
The scope of work for the Technical Specialist Server (Windows System Engineer/Administrator) is inclusive of by not limited to:
- providing operation support;
- resolving issues and problems as they arise;
- monitoring system performance;
- taking remediation actions in response to system changes, errors, problems incidents inclusive of recommending technical solutions;
- working as a team to maintain a stable and effective fleet of Windows Servers;
- reviewing technical inputs to server solutions/designs, and implement the solutions as required;
- providing technical advice and solutions to issues and problems with applications hosted on the Windows Servers as required;
- monitoring systems performance, automating monitoring process, and undertaking remediation actions where applicable;
- developing and implementing administrative tools where applicable;
- configuration and administration of Windows Servers fleet;
- building, configuring and deploying physical and virtual (Windows) Servers as per client standards.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Windows Server Administration and issues/problems resolution (essential),
- VMWare ESXi (v5) Administration and related issues/problems resolutions (essential);
- Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of one or more of the followings:
- Microsoft Products administration and support:
- SCCM (and related tools)
- SCCM packages
- SCOM
- Hyper-V
- IIS
- SharePoint
- Exchange
- Citrix XenApps (v4.5 and later)
