WANTED. SENIOR ENGINEER - WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS.Senior Engineer - RF Actives (LNA, Documentation, Testing)
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Engineer to be primarily responsible for designing and developing active RF/Microwave circuitry as well as RF/microwave Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs) for a mobile telecommunications company based in Yorkshire.
The company, a global leader in designing and manufacturing wireless communications solutions whilst based in North England, has engineering sites in the United States and East Asia.
As a Senior Engineer, you will be required to design and develop Radio Frequency (RF) and Microwave circuitry as well as RF/Microwave Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs). In addition your role will allow you to create power monitors of a frequency range of MHz. You will have had prior experience of developing circuitry such as PIC-driven Voltage Variable Attenuators and DC-blocks.
Responsibilities include (but not always restricted to):
*Design/Manufacture active RF/Microwave circuitry.
*Reporting to the UK Engineering Manager.
*Testing and analysing data, conducting simulations in order to determine feasibility of a product.
*Using network analysers, power amplifiers and other test equipment to determine if the product meets performance specifications.
*Writing documentation - design verification, design summaries and test requirements.
*Interfacing with Customers.
*Supervise and/or design the creating of PCB layout using EDA software (PADS/Altium),
Essential Skills:
*Outstanding written and verbal skills.
*A strong grasp and proven experience of developing circuitry - PIC-driven Voltage Variable Attenuators, splitters, directional couplers and DC-blocks.
