SQL / BI / Asset Management / Contract / London / £500-£600pdSQL Developer is required for my client a pioneering asset management company based in west London. They require a couple of strong SQL Developers with very strong BI knowledge and experience to join their expanding team.
What the role will entail:
The successful candidate will focus on Working within a team of 8 developers the successful candidate will be required to contribute to a wide range of projects, from one-off reports and internal web GUIs, to large scale n-tier business solutions. The reports and business solutions are driven from a central Data Warehouse, so it is essential that the candidate is able to demonstrate excellent SQL skills.
The role will require involvement in the full development life cycle, from analysis and design through to release. An ability to provide clear and comprehensive documentation to aid maintenance and support will be essential. The candidate should have good communication skills and an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
The candidate must possess
· Knowledge of SQL, specifically Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 T-SQL expertise (+base understanding of query performance analysis)
· Cubed Development
· Strong SQL server skills (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS)
· Fixed income knowledge (markets / products)
· Asset management knowledge (risk, performance, portfolio management) The candidate must be able to work in a highly dynamic environment with demanding users
