ROLE: Embedded Software Engineer / Protocol Development Engineer
LOCATION: Staffordshire
LENGTH: 6 months (likely to extend up to 18 months)
RATE: £30-40 per hour
I have a project requirement, based in Staffordshire, for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer / Protocol Development Engineer to work on a long term contract opportunity, utilising their Embedded Software and Protocol experience (IEC 61850, SCADA protocols, TCP/IP)
The company is an industry leader in their field and operate in world wide markets.
You will work within the control systems team for electrical substation, developing protocols - IEC 61850 protocol/SCADA Protocols and TCP/IP.
Key skills:
- Embedded Software (embedded C)
- Linux or VxWorks or QNX
- IEC 61850 protocol or SCADA protocols
- TCP/IP based protocol implementation (sockets, TCP/IP network, multicast message)
- System configuration, XML files (including parsin), data structure
This is urgent contract requirement with interviews happening Friday or Monday/Tuesday next week.
